United States Shaped Flag CNC Plans
The file was created in Carbide Create and is setup to run on the Shapeoko XXL. I cut these out of 1X12 pine 18" long, purchased at local lumber yard that measures .71" thick.
The .C2D file includes the tool paths which I prefer to run in three steps:
1.) The stripes are cut with a #102 1/8" end mill. After this step I paint or stain the stripes and the union.
2.) The stars are cut with #301 90 degree V bit.
3.) Last I cut the outline with a #102 1/8" end mill . There are 4 cutoff tabs included to ensure it stays in place so this step could be done at the same time as step one, but I play it safe.
These are perfect little flags to hang on a small wall or even in a cubicle. The finished product is approximately 10.5" tall by 16" wide.
With a little adjusting these can also easily be scaled to make a larger or even smaller version.
Included is the .c2d file ready to be opened in Carbide Create. I will also include the three .nc files labeled accordingly ready to be used in Carbide Motion with the steps listed above.
